Okay so here i am near Osan, South Korea... we arrived here in this freezing ass place about three days ago and moved into an open squad bay... something that used to be quite common back in the day and something i haven't done, probly since boot camp. worst part about it is that everyone is your room mate , which means you have to deal with all there habits up close and personal... like the smelly feet/bodies and the snoring, OH THE SNORING... a room of about 20 people snoring... that is something else... BUT on the good side of that is that i don't have to worry that i snore, because i KNOW there are people her that are far worse than me, lol... so right now i'm here at the education center for about an hour or so. we are having a late night meeting here and we will be leaving to going down to mokpo tomorrow morning... i have about 10 hours or driving ahead of me.. so tonight i'm going to get one last hot shower and a good nights sleep (hopefully). so far we haven't had or even heard anything about off base liberty. and i don't even think its going to happen within the next two weeks atleast... tonight will be the last night that i have internet till they set up the internet down at mokpo, and that is once the comm gear comes off ship, which is looking like 3-5 days from now... and giving the new restrictions that the marine corps has adopted, who knows if i will be able to post on here or any where else for that matter... i was suprise that this was available here on the army base... lol. so i've been on and off here and there... the last couple days have really been something else... alot of changes going on and people getting pissed at other people... really bad planning went on for the exercise and its all coming out in the wash as we speak... daily people are jumping through hoops to get last minute things done and set up for the days to come... its really something to see... that all this was talked about back in december when i was here and now still, days before the offload and we are still wondering about the little (yet inportant) things... like water and food! let alone places for our marines to sleep and transportation... its really pretty bad compared to some other operations i've been a part of.
So i found out today that we will be loading the train for retrograde on April 1st... the same day that Tiesto is playing his first concert in the Asian region, tickets are $45!!! and its in a small venue... i can't believe it! i'm really thinking about trying to get there as i will be like 3 hours away... its killing me, some kind of torture i tell you! lol. well other than all that... its freaking freezing here... last night its snowed and left about 2 inches of snow... me and some of the marines went out and made some snow angels... it was funny. i'm trying to get as many pictures of me and the marines as i can so we can have some good memories of what already seems like a good exercise gone bad... lol. so when i get some of those i will send some out to everyone. well i have to get going... time to get back... i have some packing to do and a shower to take... i just hoper there is some more hot water left for me.
some of the main body came in tonight and i know they will be dirty and tired... so who knows... take care and wish me luck over the next days... i know we'll need it!
Thanks to all who read...
