I have decided to provide some 'insightful' knowledge to the concerns of the difference between sparring and fighting and why I allow sparring in this school.

I'll start with the difference.

You'll know a fight when you see it when you can easily tell that the two are trying to kill each other. Hell, just waiting to see the outcome is enough to tell ( Read more... )

Why can't we just use our wands for self defense while in school... if we ever have a reason to use them here.

Magic is not everyone's preference.

Why the hell are they in a magic school then?

To become acceptable wizards in a wizard society.

Who know how to beat the crap out of someone instead of casting spells on them since they're underage and can't out of school?

That's assuming they intend to do that in the first place...

Sir, let's be honest, Do you actually think that some of the cases in this school will just do nothing if someone talks shit about them during the breaks? Some will shake it off and shit but you have to admit that there are some that wont once the teachers watchful eyes are gone.

I've got my shit list of frequent violators of the rules who I keep a close eye on.

What do you propose I do? If I put a ban on sparring, then we got people sparring outside of the eyes of people as well as those intending to fight for the sake of fighting. Two groups of people to watch out for.

I take away the ban. Those who want to spar can spar comfortably in open where they can be watched. That leaves out those who are looking to hurt others. And that's where the observation comes in.

Watch them during your holidays too?

I'm pretty sure there are charms and spells to tell you if people are fighting to alert you.

People who want to hurt people will do it, regardless of it there is sparring or not. They can say they were sparring as a cover up. I've kicked some peoples asses before and nothing really stopped me.

What they do outside of school isn't my business.

If you've got em, I'll take em.

Thank you for stating the obvious jackass. Maybe you didn't read what I just wrote concerning that?

It helps them know how to hurt people, FYI.

It'll cost you.

Yeah I did, and I told you that they would LIE, they can't use that fucking sparring excuse if you just don't let people do it.

Then they'll pay the consequences by the muggle authorities or the wizard authorities. Not my problem if it happens.

Not going to happen.

Alright....
Look, Smartass. I already explained in "FINE DETAIL" on how you would use your own two eyes, they are the white spheres filling those two holes next to the bridge of your nose if you don't know what they are, to spot the difference between people having a fight, and people having a spar.

And as I have "SAID BEFORE" if I am to place a ban on it entirely, we not only have people fighting doing it behind our backs, we also have those trying to train doing it behind our backs! DO I NEED TO REPEAT THE FLAW IN THIS!?

Without a ban, we have only one group to look out for. And for the last and final time, I have already "EXPLAINED" the differences to look out for!

My decision stands. END OF DISCUSSION!

Both are lacking.

We'll see about that.

Why don't you just kick them out then? Muggle schools have this zero tolerance policy thing going on. I hear it's popular.

Uh huh.

No, we won't.

This isn't a muggle school unfortunately. And I have my own policies.

So naive.

Your loss.

Since when did you become the Headmaster and I doubt the ministry would really approve of a teacher encouraging students to FIGHT.

I meant policies within my job.

Ten points from Slytherin and an extension to your detention. At no point did I ever encourage anyone to fight. I have given those who want to practice self-defense and train their freedom to do so in a mature manner.
I have provided the ways to keep an eye out for those looking to harm one another as well as the knowledge that I already have a list of those that I keep an eye on.
Now if the next words out of your mouth are anything but "Yes sir, I understand, SIR!" I will dock 50 points from your house!
