I have a question regarding postage fees.
I gathered most of you all received emails from spree organizers tt items haf arrived and that you haf to pay ____ for (2nd topups) postage fees, which includes envelope + bubblewrap + stamp etc.
But most of the time, buyers are told they have to pay so and so much. The details of the postage cost is not written down clearly.
How do you know whether the organiser is not overcharging? Or trying to save some money outta there...
I am not trying to be niao... but when i pay, i expect to get what i paid for.
I got my items after i topup for shipping cost + $0.60 postage. I was not advised on what the amount was for. I gathered it would be reasonable since it is Maple syrup items. B
ut hey, for goodness sake, I received my items in a "recycled DBS envelope"!
The stamp looks... normal. The bubble wrap looks minimal.
So what was I actually paying for? You mean, I paid the organizer the postage fees to get me a recycled envelope that she doesn't want? Jolly well, I was expecting that she shld be using my money to buy envelopes and that's why I haf to pay the charges.
Hey, I love the Earth too. I appreciate she is trying to be environment friendly recycling her bank/mobilephone/creditcard wadsoever envelopes. But if those envelopes are not of any cost to her(since she didn't pay DBS for their envelopes), why should I be paying her for that?

Hey guys, maybe i over-reacted. Whatsoever.
I was suspcious..and hence the DBS envelope didn't make it any better.
Hear my story.
I was mailed the shipping cost to pay. Apparently, organiser made a miscalculation in shipping cost. I informed her. She replied instantaneously and said she would inform the rest too.
I checked the next day. The rest waren't informed. And so i got suspicious. Cos I don't think it shld take so long to inform others of miscalculations in shipping cost. Unless she was re-doing another excel spreadsheet.
I emailed the others abt it instead.
So anyway, she emailed soon after to remind the rest and would be refunding extras etc. No spreadsheet.
I tot it was very fishy. Nvm..
Do u think my impression of her was good? Nah..
and then came the envelope.
Wah lau. ok. i tot why is some bank chasing after me. Hmm.. do you think i care abt the stamp?
...
so anyway, nvm. Just couldn't resist grumbling here.... abt the pretty good-quality non-crumpled (and still reusable as long i ripped off the address sticker) envelope.
I don't take law.
i duno law.
But if i am wrong, isn't it illegal to misuse envelopes with some company's logo on it?
Next time....might as well use liquid paper to cover it up...
and next time, if items get lost.
Go to DBS, cos they might return straight to DBS address instead of the organiser's.
you get the idea.
*curtains down*
Hell. i was merely asking for transparency in postage fees.
Thanks for all the comments, to ppl who understood and to ppl who don't....lor.
To peepz who got overcharged, rem to always ask organiser for exact details since most dun give details..
