MOD POST - Changes in the Community
Dear all,
There have been a few minor changes in the community. Please note:-
1. THERE IS A NEW ALTERNATIVE FEEDBACK COMMUNITY - sgst_feedback.
If you are a new member and want to apply for posting access, please e-mail us your LiveJournal username and feedback page. If you do not have a feedback page, you can apply for one here.
sgst_feedback has the same rules as sgstfeedback. Read them here and here.
Both sgst_feedback and sgstfeedback feedback pages can be used to appy for posting access.
If you already have a sgstfeedback feedback page, do not apply for a new one. Members with more than 1 feedback page will be have both pages removed and will be banned.
2. NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
You no longer need to be a registered seller in order to get posting access. All you need is a feedback page on either sgst_feedback or sgstfeedback.
If you have submitted your personal information to us, rest assured it will not be sold or distributed to anyone. We have locked it up and thrown away the key.
3. WE WILL NOT RESOLVE DISPUTES.
Due to the sheer size of this community (14,000 members) and the small number of active mods/maintainers (four), we will not be able to cope with dispute resolution.
If in doubt, ask for each others’ feedback pages on sgst_feedback or sgstfeedback, or simply do not deal. The feedback communities are there for a purpose - users may delete negative feedback on their personal feedback pages, but they cannot do so on sgst_feedback or sgstfeedback.
4. MEMBERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CHANGE THEIR SGSELLTRADE USERNAMES.
Due to the member-mod ratio, we will not be able to cope with any changes in usernames, which will necessitate deletion and creation of pages. We ask for your understanding.
5. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS.
If you are interested in becoming a mod, and you have more than 150 positive feedback with no negative feedback, please e-mail us and tell us why you want to volunteer. We regret that only shortlisted applicants will be notified. This is a volunteer position.
