I have been struggling for a while, so while it's so nice to hear, at the same time I feel as if I don't deserve the compliments. What makes me happy and pleased is that you like the story...that you like the way the characters are written (I think!). I hope that I continue to write fics that you don't regret reading! I'm sure I will continue to travel roads that go up and down, I guess signing up for ficathons like this and things like the hc_challenge and help me challenge myself, which is good, and not every fic or drabble will be a 'winner' and that's okay. How's everything going?? I've been swamped this week and haven't had a chance to be on LJ much.. :( How's Betty doing?? I stopped by Laila this week (finally!) to see if I could find some nice earrings to go with your hot dress!, but they didn't have anything that went... :( everything was turquoise and wood like... but I'll persist! She always has new things every week or so, and I might be going to a town fair with local artisans with my SIL tomorrow, so I'll keep my eyes open! Hope you're well! *hugs* ~S.

What makes me happy and pleased is that you like the story...that you like the way the characters are written (I think!).

Oh, I definitely like the way they're written. I'm telling you, you have this wonderful style of writing that comes out on the page and makes these characters come alive and I know it's silly and cliched to say that, but it's really true.

and not every fic or drabble will be a 'winner' and that's okay.

I think that even though you didn't seem to love this one, the fact that you still posted it and still are receiving a bunch of comments praising you for it has to show you that you've got a wonderful talent for getting inside these characters' heads.

I've started writing one of the fics I signed up for at hw_fest and while the beginning was kind of cool, imo, as I kept writing, it started to decline, so I think I may start over. Unfortunately, I have no ideas in my head. :(

Things are going well. I'm getting into a pattern for school and work (I haven't written about it on LJ, but almost simultaneously, I've obtained two more part-time jobs; that's three part-time jobs I'm working now, can you believe it?) and I haven't gone crazy yet, so yay!

Betty's doing well. I took her to the vet the other day because of some skin problems she was having and the vet put her on antibiotics which seemed to go to work almost immediately, which is fantastic.

so I'll keep my eyes open!
