Tomorrow I go to Iowa. Yay! I already got GU boys wanting to see me. :P
Penny and I attended our much-anticipated Kansas City Wizards vs Los Angeles Galaxy soccer (football) game tonight. Well, it all started when David Beckham *if you don't know who he is, you shouldn't be reading my livejournal. Go away! :(* signed on with LA Galaxy. Penny lurves him and I think he's hot, so we got tickets. Then the little rascal decided to injure himself. So we knew he wouldn't be playing but matters got worse yesterday. His father had a heart attack and Becks was on the soonest flight available to London. I hope Ted is doing alright but we all missed you Becks! The game was the most attended game that any Wizard's match had gotten (over 32,000) and obviously, that was because David Beckham had been scheduled to appear. Unfortunately, a lot of those people found out Becks wasn't going to make it, so they decided not to come. No, they did not get refunds just because a player couldn't make it.
There were however MANY people in various Beckham jerseys. Manchester United, Real Madrid, and just plain Beckham shirts. There was even a lady with "SOCCER MUM" on her shirt and a pic of Posh (Victoria Beckham) and she has seen them play Chelsea at a friendly match. Lucky. But anyway. It was alright, we went to Applebee's after and had Mud slides. The beer at the game was about $8 and it tasted icky, being just beer. Boo Miller Lite. :P
