Obviously, this has spoilers. So.
The book started off fine. I expected some big traveling going on with Ron, Hermione and Harry. Camping out in tents and such is how I pictured it, actually. Apparently I had no idea what the Deathly Hallows were. There are some mistakes in the book as always, like the fact that Mad-Eye could "see through the invisibility cloak" in other books, but not this one... And the deaths. Oh boy she just couldn't stop! I mean, Hedwig was a useless death, Fred was a complete drain on my liking of the end of the book (She just wiped him off the page... I mean, why couldn't it have been Percy after he was so quickly accepted back into his family after 30 seconds of 'I'm so sorrryyyyy'? Boo! At least she kept my Ronald alive.
I like how Hagrid survived, too. My theory on Snape was kind of correct. I had assumed he used a nonverbal spell the night Dumbledore died, or that he got the 'okay' from Dumbledore to kill him. Well, there you have it. But I can still picture Snape being named Harry's kids' Godfather. With little Lily, Albus and James hanging off of his arms, Snape standing there with a blank face, almost frowning lol. Too bad. Voldemort really is an asshole. And Molly Weasley, oh yeah! "NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!" WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Amen sista! Kickass.
I'm tired. I am realising that I just finished the final Harry Potter book. I started in 2001. 6 Years of my life, you know. Some people had 10 or so. Well. I figured the 19-years later is 2017 and Harry is about 37 years old. Of course he named the children after Albus and Severus and James and Lily. I mean who would have guessed? *rolls eyes* It is kind of... eh? My dad just pointed out that no one person destroyed more than one Horcrux.
Locket = Ron; Diary = Harry; Tiara = Crabbe's Chimaera fire; Nagini = Neville; Ring = Dumbledore; Hufflepuff's Goblet = Hermione; Harry himself = Voldemort.
So. Anyway. I think I won't re-read the other books for at least a year because, well, now I'll be like 'Oh this person dies and this person does this' etc. :(
Ah, well. It had fun in it before this sad book. My fav chapter was that of Snape's memory. I always thought the situations with Dumbledore explaining everything to Harry (while Harry was in limbo, i.e.) was like "Okay blah blah when will this chapter be over... Mmhmm.
Goodnight! Tomorrow I spend time with my own campers and some 11-15 yr old Japanese boys. Should be fun!
