Morgan Moved out drabble

"Oh come on, it'd be cool."

"I am not asking the building crew to make an underground tunnel." Jackson's deadpan didn't even require him looking up from the notebook he was marking in. "If you want to visit her, then just walk to the damn hut. New Atlantis is not that big."

"Yet."

"Mitchell."

"We could invest on making a set of tunnels linking all the huts together." Kind of like the Tok'ra.

"And have--" Jackson cut himself off, and leveled an annoyed expression on Cameron. "Are you going to let me do my work or not?"

Cam lifted his hands in surrender, and backed up a few steps. "Alright, alright. Just thought it was a good idea."

"You know, if she wanted to spend all day with you, she wouldn't have moved out."

"Oh c'mon, Jackson! There are plenty of other uses for an underground tunnel."

Jackson's expression conveyed his opinion of that statement quite efficiently.

Cameron frowned and shrugged, giving his teammate a cordial wave, before wandering back toward his hut. So underground tunnels were out of the question. There were plenty of other options. And she'd said he could visit any time.

Any was a synonym for all, last he'd checked. So--while he had to strike underground tunnels or sun-rooms--for lack of space--he could always just go and visit. It occurred to him that spending all day at her hut sort of defeated the purpose of her having her own hut.

He discarded the idea as nonsense when Morgan seemed entirely pleased by his impromptu visit to the hut. He bet she would have approved of every single one of the tunnel ideas.

Anyway. It wasn't like he'd be at her hut every day. She could come and visit his hut any day.
