Just Another Day

I should be asleep, but I'm a wibbly-wobbly ball of emotions right now. Just watched the Eureka finale, and I swear, it could not have been more perfect. It was like Eureka condensed into all the things I love about it. The little shout-outs, the references to what happened behind the scenes, every single full-circle element, and that ending ( Read more... )

It's on my list to watch, I've only heard good things about it...also, up there with Stargate and Supernatural? Hmmm...you know, I might have to give it a shot :)

It's more comparable to Stargate, tbh. Like, it (was) my modern Stargate-equivalent. Adorable characters, technobabble, lots of camp...it reminds me of early SG1, which is my favorite. So, yeah. I love it. It's a bit more campy and looser than Stargate, but it's still fun. S1 is hard to get through, imho, but it picks up. It's very much one of those fun shows, kinda like Psych(IDK if you watch?).

Aw, I'm sorry your show ended, but I'm glad it went off on the right note! There are few things worse, tv-wise, than a wretched finale.

Yeah, few things in a fan's life are worse than a terrible finale.

I Loved Loved LOVED the finale! I thought it was perfect and what can I say - I' a sucker for a happy ending. Here's hoping they'll do a movie or two down the road? Of maybe some characters will pop up in other Syfy shows? I know Niall Matter is on the new Primeval but I don't know about the others.

I'd love to see some of them pop up on Warehouse 13, since they've already established that it's the same universe.

I um....watched the last two, last week.

A couple of days before the second last screened actually ...coz the dvd release (with all of S5) was just there when I was looking for TV.

(As if from the gods of tv)

I haven't felt that excited in a while - it was like an early christmas.

(I'm terrible at waiting)

I loved it, I mean the season could have used less Holly, more everyone else, also: More Jo and Zane, oh and some kind of Nathan appearance (more than a flashback tunnel, at least) - but it ended right.

When Alison told the Carter the news right at the end I was like AWH his face ♥

It was also good to see Taggart, and lol that smart dog whose name I forget carrying Andy's arm XD

I have S1 and S2, now I just have to buy the rest. I think Syfy did it an injustice by cancelling it the way it did, but it was nice (by the outrage and disappointment) to know it was loved. It was one of my favorites - no one makes faces, voices like Jack Carter ( ... )

As much as I love Felicia Day, I have to agree; Holly was way over-used, and I think this season certainly wasn't the strongest. But I think it still had potential, so it was devastating to see it go. IA with everything else.

I love Jack's face. And I'm so glad we got Taggart and Lojack(I'm rewatching it right now lol) back; it was a lovely throwback...tbh, I loved every one of the little throwbacks. And those last few minutes when Jack and Zoe are driving, and suddenly everything goes full circle, and they see themselves in the car...that's when it hit me that Eureka was over, for good, the end-all for it all, and I started crying like the big baby I am.

Yes! The Zane/Carter moments were so perfect, I loved it so much. I think there's been speculation that Vincent was gay(really, just an unspoken fact), but no confirmation. I'm betting they just thought "what the hell, we're ending, why not?"

IA, I just kept trying to remind myself that I loved Fargo - so at least he was happy. But Holly was so everywhere.

And it was never like that with Parrish - who could have easily become annoying, but didn't - and OMG: Parrish and Zane teaming up was just about one of my favorite things about the end.

Zane blew up clone!Parrish...and Parrish tasted him SO GROSS XD

(Also, that's how I knew that one was the clone. TRUST? Parrish doesn't trust. I'm surprised it's not in his DNA.)

And I'm so glad we got Taggart and Lojack(I'm rewatching it right now lol) back; it was a lovely throwback

Oh and that cute little robot that Tiny bonded with! And it would have been nice to see the guy who played Tesla in Sanctuary show up as his Eureka Scientist character (I miss his face. He needs a new show).

those last few minutes when Jack and Zoe are driving, and suddenly everything goes full circle, and they see themselves in the car...That was the best bit. No one ever ( ... )

Yeah, Parrish was around a lot, but it felt less like they were trying to force him on fans and more natural. LOL But yeah, I KNEW that wasn't the real one, seriously, it was obvious.

Yesss, Jonathan Young. I miss him. He always plays awesome characters. *sigh* Tesla and Magnus being BAMFs is really all I miss about Sanctuary, which is sad considering how into it I used to be.

That's why I loved it! The whole finale felt like an ode to the fans and to the fact that a show like Eureka stuck around for this long. TPTB remembered all the little references and included them, some that I recognized but not where exactly they were from. I need to do a rewatch.

IA about Jo and Carter and Zane.

So cheesily funny (lol, mantastic!), but a lovely confirmation.
