Posey Tube Closure in September
Caltrans will close the Posey Tube connecting Alameda with the mainland during two nights this month, to allow for removal of old, 12-KVA systems at each end of the tunnels.
The Posey Tube will close at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2 and will reopen at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3. On Wednesday night, September 3, the Posey Tube will close at 9 p.m. and will reopen at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 4. On Thursday night, September 4, the Posey Tube will close at 9 p.m. and will reopen at 4:30 a.m. on Friday, September 5.
