I now have short hair again
A couple of years ago, I started growing my hair out 'cause the hubby likes long hair. Thing1 has also been growing hers out for a couple years. A couple weeks ago, Thing1 decided she wanted to cut hers off and donate the hair to Locks of Love. This sounded like a good excuse to get mine cut, too, so today we went and got both ours chopped. Before I started growing mine out, it was short-short. Locks of Love is getting 12" and my hair is once again short-short. Thing1's was longer when she started growing hers out and is now collar-length with, once again, about 12" going to LoL.
I didn't bother to take before and after pictures. Maybe I should have.
I've always preferred short hair. It's the hubby likes it long. So maybe I'll compromise-- grow it out long and then every couple of years cut it again and repeat. In, oh, 10 years or so, they'll have 6 matching ponytails, which is about what it takes to make a hair piece... Then again, considering the slow appearance of grey in my hair, maybe not.
