I love Cloud and I love John turning in a bug again.

I love that Cloud is able to fight the bug in John and I love that Teyla is able to hear Cloud. :)

i LOVE this. Cloud is totally awesome and I love that they found its home!! That was great the way it could keep the bug insanity held back so John could think. Loved the protectiveness that went both ways. And bug John stories are always good!! Now I have this mental picture of him plucking bugs and centipedes off trees and popping them in his mouth. Wonderful plot, descriptions, and characters, as always!!

Ah, that ended up so beautifully. It was so bittersweet that John was healed but could not hear Cloud, but I adored that Teyla could hear Cloud. Such nice companionship between John and his new friend. It was Very cool getting to see John in the almost bug state for a long time and explore what that was like. I will think of this now every time I hear the windchimes in my garden. Cloud is a great OC.

Thank you :D I almost ended it on a completely happy note with John still being able to hear Cloud, but the plot wouldn't let me :/ That said, I was happy with the way it turned out, melancholy but, I think (for a sci-fi situation, anyway) realistic.

That was a wonderfully charming story. Considering you had torture and a running a muck bug!john - that's pretty impressive. I just loved cloud and felt sad that John could no longer hear him.

Thank you :D While plotting this I kept thinking of the old black-and-white Frankenstein movie - all the running and chaos and people chasing down the monster. I almost even included angry villagers with torches ;)
