This is a wonderful mix of touching charm between John and Cloud, and the creepiness of an unfolding backstory that grows scarier by the minute. I love how John is portrayed as having lost (and still losing) parts of himself and is yet so very much himself at the same time. Cloud is an appealing OC. I'm very much caught up in the mystery and dying to find out how this all works out.

While I understand the desperate situation here, this just kills me as I can see it so easily having seen some of his magic maneuvers in CONVERSION

I can't wait to read the rest, but felt compelled to at least comment on it so far................
