What are skips?
If for any reason you cannot write a story for any one round you can use a skip to have your name saved for the next one, instead of dropping out.
How do I earn skips?
Each participant receive one skip on signing up. More skips are gained by pimping the comm somewhere else (like in your Livejournal).
What happens if I forget to skip the round and don't write a story?
If you fail to submit the story in the due date and forgot to skip the round, a mod will use any skips you have to save you, but if don’t have any skips left, I’m sorry, but you won’t continue to the next round.
How many times can I skip rounds?
As many times as you need as long as you have skips, but be careful and don't cheat. You can't simply skip all rounds and only participate on the last one just to win the challenge. The point here is to have fun, write and improve your writing, not winning.
How should my pimping post look like?
You should put the name of the community, the name of the challenge, and preferably what it means. Also a link to the rules in the main LFWS post. You should invite the people to check it out. Go here to see a pimping post I made on my own LJ. Don't forget that artists can be invited to participate too.
Can I pimp the comm anywhere or just on Livejournal?
You can post on other sites as well and not simply on Livejournal.
Can I pimp after sign ups close?
You can pimp at any time you want. After the sign ups close you can pimp the comm inviting people to read the fics and vote (remember that you can't tell which story is yours until the voting closes).
When I have some time I'll make I made some banners that can be used for pimping. If you want to help out making more banners you can. Simply make an art pimping the comm and send it to me via private message. If I like it enough for posting, you'll earn a skip.
