Oh, wow...this sounds fascinating. When you say that it takes from Supernatural, though, do you mean characters, too? Or is it just premises? Which is still sort of a problem for me because I don't watch it. Hmmm. Still, I love the idea of John having these abilities.

It's not characters as such more premises. Either way our own amalgam of things is explained not assumed so it is perfectly readable if you haven't seen/read any of these things! Hope that hasn't put you off reading it.
