Teyla is shocked when she sees the ghostly image of a woman in the corridors of Atlantis. The woman is an Ancient in appearance but, initially at least, no one else can see her. Others begin to have their own visions however. Dr. McKay is enjoying himself watching a whale-like creature that is swimming just off the city. He's certain that it's the

Rodney hands over the binoculars so that John can get a closer look at "all that water". Well, okay, a moment later, there's a big whale tail breaking through the water. Aww, it's Rodney's "friend".
Another quick scene change finds Teyla being scanned by the Ancient MRI. Liz and Ronon are discussing the results (no evidence) with Carson. Teyla herself proposes that her so-called hallucinations might be because so many Ancients were murdered on Atlantis recently but were unable to ascend. Mind you, Ronon has his own explanation: "too much meditation".
Liz is discussing Teyla's case with John as they're walking down the hall when Rodney comes upon them. Oh, lucky for Liz, he wants John instead. He's saying that the Ancient database has provided a lot of information on indigenous animal life. Whoa! I'd like to order that Buick-sized crustacean for a feast!
Oh, look at the amused face John makes when he talks about "Rodney's whale friend". Oops. How embarrassing. Rodney reveals his friend's name is ... Sam. John thinks it's a crappy name, considering Rodney named the whale after "Sam...antha Carter". Then Liz brings up the important question: how does Rodney know that he's a he? Well, Rodney just cross-referenced the renderings in the database with the whale outside and, lookee here, the males happen to have a very prominent...." Liz cuts him off. I think she gets the picture! John just continues to make dorky faces. And then he asks if they make good eating.
It's a gorgeous quiet nighttime on Atlantis and then we're in Teyla's bedroom. Too bad she can't sleep, tossing and turning. She hears the familiar gibberish and gets out of bed. What I never noticed before is how gorgeous the stained glass panels are in the background. She exits her quarters and sees a shadow. She follows the unknown woman and calls out to her. Once again the burned Ancient man stumbles out of the transporter. This time the woman catches him and yells something at Teyla. Teyla covers her ears to block out the shriek.
In the next scene, Teyla is having a session with Dr. Kate Heightmeyer. So Kate asks why are these apparitions visible only to Teyla? She answers with Ronon's cute observation: "too much meditation".
We next see Kate talking about Teyla to Liz ... walking down a public hallway. [More on this from the audio commentary.] When they part, Liz activates the doors of the transporter and gets to see the burned man for herself! There's a tense swelling of the music to end the scene.
Ooh. Cool shot of water flowing (like a waterfall until the camera moves back). It's just another water effect in the corridor. This time, we see both Liz and Teyla walking with Kate. ::rolls eyes:: You'd think the woman didn't have a fabulous office! Kate suggests the both of them get something from Carson to help them sleep.
