Or is this either folly or vanity on Michael's part - to have a human (even though a clone) doing his bidding. If so, then Michael hasn't exactly perfected the obedience aspect to his mind control. We see it slipping from Kanaan when Teyla manages to get through to his innate compassion ... until Michael shows up and Kanaan is once again subdued.
Michael's also not done anything to overcome Carson's (and any others') true will which includes hatred. There's only a temporary suppression. That's not very efficient. So perhaps Michael's not entirely a genius. I'm not sure whether this was deliberate on the part of TPTB or yet another inconsistency in the development of the Wraith.
OTOH, Michael scoffs at "feelings" yet he's the one who seems to be obsessed with certain individuals and doing nasty things to them. If obsession isn't a feeling (well, a really strong and usually undesirable one), then I don't know what is.
I'm not sure if I have anything else to add to this episode. I'm so tired of Michael and know it's not the last we'll see of him. ::sighs:: It's as if Carson's worst nightmare will haunt us all and daylight never arrives to grant us a reprieve.
Afterthought: Connor's an amazing actor, but I'd so much prefer to watch an Enterprise marathon with plenty of Trip involvement!!!!!
