We will see the Earth ship Phoenix, as seen in the future timeline in The Last Man, at some point in season five but there‘s no word on who will be captaining it.

MGM interviewed Rachel Luttrell for the official site during the filming of Ghost in the Machine, the article mentions that after the interview Rachel would be filming a “classic Teyla-style fight” presumably for the same episode.

Rachel Luttrell talked a little about this episode in her interview with the official MGM site (an interview that took place during the filming of episode 5) saying: “Teyla is going to be doing something which is extremely, extremely dangerous! I haven’t had an opportunity to read the script yet, but let’s just say it has a lot to do with her Wraith DNA and her link to them. It’s going to be something rather dark and challenging.”

Joe Mallozzi was asked a question on his blog by a fan concerned by Todd’s fate following the spoilers for The Lost Tribe, Joe replied by saying: “Todd is a multi-layered character and not your typical villain. He acts and reacts logically to the situations in which he finds himself. Don’t be so quick to judge - especially when it comes to Todd.”

New information added to the “Untitled Joe Mallozzi script” post
This episode is based on a pitch by Martin Gero who was also going to write the script but there has been a change of plans: “We spun Marty G.’s latest story idea this morning, going back and forth on various notions as the room argued containment fields, points of science, and hot vs. cold air masses. The thematic shift of his story has turned out to be a good new/bad news situation for me. Good news: HE is now writing “A Very Special Stargate: Atlantis”. Bad news: He takes the #16 slot which means I’m writing #15 which will have to be ready to prep on the day we get back from our summer hiatus.”
