Oh my god, I don't even know where to start! I love this so much -- you didn't just give me one story where they met prior to Atlantis, you gave me five of them! And I love every word in every one. ♥ ♥ ♥

If I tried to pull out all the bits I loved best I'd honestly be quoting the entire piece, but just to point out a few: I love the way you took elements of canon and transported them into these alternate scenarios, making each one feel almost as familiar as the canon reality. Things like "Meredith tells John he's going to be an astronaut when he gets older, unless he figures out how to give himself superpowers, in which case he's going to fight crime. John says he wants to do that with him after he's done being a soldier." and "For some reason he can't quite figure out, he gets a kick out of how easy it is to wind McKay up and watch his blue eyes go all squinty and his mouth turn down in the corner." and "He and John spark ideas off each other in a way Rodney has never experienced before-never even knew was possible. He wants to do science with John forever." And I absolutely adore this part: That they've both gotten here to where they are now seems almost miraculous -- because that is so true and so perfect considering the scenarios that came before, even though John doesn't actually know about them. And I love that even in Rodney's random, chaotic universe there can still be room for a little bit of destiny. :D
