Oh hurray, this was so lovely. Your Jennifer voice is just wonderful. And your Rodney--who's not quite sure how to relate to someone he really likes. ♥ I think what I enjoy the most about this story is how much Rodney and Jennifer like each other. They are well-suited and they really seem to enjoy each other.

And John watching out for Rodney is love. ♥

I really like how you dealt with the does-Jennifer-like-him-the-way-he-is-or-does-she-want-to-change-him question(an issue that has been, um, troubling fandom). The question is really, 'does Rodney like himself the way he is,' and the answer is yes, most of the time--and therefore so does Jennifer. She wants him to be happy. What a lovely give and take they have.

I'm also enchanted with the world's fair exhibit/planetarium they discovered. It's so fun to see something new in Atlantis.

Thank you so, so much. I love this story to pieces--it's definitely one of the best Rodney/Jennifer stories written yet--and I couldn't have asked for anything more. It's one I'll re-read often. *big, big hugs*

Yay! I'm so, so glad you liked it! I was excited when I saw that it was you I had the assignment for, because I think we both have the same level of 'okay, I just LOVE this, but I still love John and Rodney, too.' I really wanted to... not so much 'fix' the perceptions that I think they portrayed so poorly on the show itself, but more... show the stuff that I think was going on behind the scenes. I honestly think it's less about Jennifer wanting to change Rodney than genuinely thinking that his being so socially inept sometimes is exactly why he is so grouchy and antisocial at times.

Your comments made my day when I read then at first, and still do (I've gone back to read them again and again!); I also think I'd love to write more about that room, it was really fun to dream up! Thanks again for your request and your kind words!
