Very cool picture of Pegasus culture here, and I love your Teyla POV.

thank you so much! I always have difficulty writing Teyla, and this is one of the few fics I've written from her POV. Usually, I write from John's. I'm glad you liked the Pegasus culture. It's something I personally love to see in my SGA fics.

THIS IS MADE OF AWESOME.

I love how you filled out the Pegasus cultures, made them real and gave them background and history. I am in awe of the fact that you've given reasons for the Athosians to stick with Atlantis in the face of being ignored, why the Genii are perpetually troubled in their dealings with Atlantis, and why the other Pegasus alliances don't last very long.

And I love that you haven't made it all about the John/Teyla! That probably sounds weird since I was asking for John/Teyla, but the truth is I love them in the context of their situation while still focusing on the story that's happening around them. And you've put them firmly in the midst of their backgrounds while still finding a bridge for them to meet in the middle and...THIS IS MADE OF AWESOME.

I don't know that I can rave about this quite enough. Or maybe I've already raved too much about it. Needless to say, dear Santa, you have been utterly, utterly awesome to me with this story and I am a very happy fan!

Thank you, Santa!

I'm really, really happy you liked this. I was very nervous about this, so I'm glad that I was able to fulfill your request in a way that you liked. It was a lot of fun to write this, even though I started and re-started this a number of times. A lot of the inspiration behind the alliances came from me needing a reason to get rid of Kanaan without vilifying him and as I developed the idea I realized that I could use it to explain so much more about the interaction between the expedition and the rest of Pegasus. Thank you for giving me such a great prompt. It was wonderful to actually write something that came from Teyla's POV and have it actually flow for me.

Ending made me grin. I love the cultural elements, and the thought of how different things could've been if they'd known from the start... But yeah, fantastic fic. :D

Thank you! I figured I should throw the expedition a bone and let them find some ZPMs. Glad you liked it.

Teyla's POV is just marvelous and perfect for its recipient, the acclaimed Tielan. The team interactions and characterizations are subtle and perfect. John's shy and slow courting of Teyla, the acknowledgment that Ronon is the president of the John/Teyla fanclub, the ZPM machine, all of it is genius. A lovely and completely original concept that takes an interesting sociological look at Pegasus. My only complaint is I want more. Sequel please?

*g* Thanks so much for the compliments! I rarely write Teyla because I have difficulty writing from her POV, so this was a nice change for me. I love Ronon and considering that we've seen him and John bond together in some episodes, I figured he would be a fan of getting Teyla and John together...

as for more... maybe. But not for a while - I have a lot on my plate right now. But maybe.
