A canon question about Wraith females..
Other than the "Queen" of a hive I don't see females of the species. It appears too that in the hive it's all the drone guards or the higher level males only. Is there a surfeit of males to females? Is that natural selection at work? If females are very rare, you'd think they'd be highly desired and protected in that society. Yet I remember the child!wraith (I forgot her name) who was raised by a human (he thought he had the cure to the wraith feeding problem) and thought of him as her father so there must be some. If/when a female is born does she always become a queen of a hive? I assume if their were competitions the losing female would be killed but maybe that's just my imagination at work. I don't recall too much in canon about them but perhaps someone out there remembers other tidbits about their society that I may have missed?
