LFWS #4 WARM UP ROUND
The sign ups for the LFWS#4 are now closed. All participants are now invited to participate of the warm round round.

In case it needs remembering, in the post I made to state all the changes for this round, I said:
Before the actual first round we'll be doing a warm up round. In the warm up round there will be no elimination. It is not obligatory to participate in this and skips will NOT be used if you stay out of this round. It is just a fun way to start things without fear of not going forward, because it kinda sucks being eliminated in the first challenge.
It also works to make new writers get accustomed to the format of challenge and with receiving crit to improve style and give readers what they want.
The prompt for the warm up round will be slightly different from the usual prompts we have and the deadline will be extended. I want to give the writers a chance to really try to get out of your comfort zones without having the doom of elimination hanging above your heads, so be prepared for it.
Like I said the prompt will be a little different from usual.
For this round you'll have to write two fics.
Firstly, there is no established word count to follow so don't worry if they end up being as small as 100 words, but try not to make them longer than 2,000 words because it'll make difficult for people to read them all. Of course, you won't be kicked out if you pass this guideline.
Secondly, you can use any characters you want, including OCs, and no character is mandatory. If you want both stories to be about the same character or different ones no problem. If you want to make an OC fest, go ahead. If you want to play with different combinations, go for it. Just follow your heart.
Now the most important part. Both stories need to be related to the same prompt. You will choose one prompt from the following list and write both stories based in it. Remember, two stories, only one prompt. The trick is that each story must be of a different genre, for example: one friendship and one romance, one drama and one humor, one dark and one crack, one canon universe and one alternate universe, one angst and one action/adventure, one team fic and one character study... you can go wild with ideas.

'Tis better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all
A burnt child dreads the fire
A man is known by the company he keeps
NOTE: Stories do not need to be gen in this round (and this round only) which means you can write romance. However, explicit sex will NOT be allowed.
Remember, you'll have two weeks to write the story and don't forget to use the default header IN EACH FIC. Please, include both stories in the same document.
