OH GOD. Elizabeth is SO kicking their asses for this, but I laughed my ass off. John will be lucky if she lets his ass offworld anytime in the next year. Although by now she ought to be used to all of them making asses of themselves.

(I actually did just laugh helplessly and uncontrollably through the whole thing. Which probably says an awful lot about my sense of humor! The mental image of John trying to keep a straight face while explaining what happened, and Rodney getting frustrated with him, a la the "... and then I saved us with THE POWER OF MY MIND!" scene in "Tao", totally cracks my ass up...)

Cool! I must confess that I didn't really have that particular scene in mind as I was writing the fic, but I know the John and Rodney expressions you mean (I think I have the screencap sticky posted to the top of my LJ) and - yeah, that mental image of the two of them cracks me up too. So pleased that this fic has evokes that same vibe for you.

LOL! Boys will be boys! I do think Elizabeth and Teyla must have had many moments when they thought they were the only adults in the group.
