Woohoo! My ridiculously obsessive "author fingerprint" spreadsheet worked. I correctly matched 21 stories and authors. Of the seven I missed, five were from the humor section. It figures. Anyone who spends that much time on a puzzle like this probably needs to lighten up a little.

It was an awesome ficathon with wonderful stories!

I'm thoroughly boggled at how many you got right! That's really impressive. (Or scary. One or the other. *g*)

And since one of the ones you got right was mine, I promised ficlets to any correct guessers. What would you like me to write for you? :) Any character(s) and prompt/scenario -- with the caveat that it'll probably be quite short.

"That's really impressive. (Or scary. One or the other. *g*)"

Maybe it's a bit of both. LOL. Really though, I think it is a credit to the authors who write in this fandom. We all write about the same characters and many of us share similar interests in genre. We read each other's stories. Some people even do the beta reading for several authors. Yet,despite such close ties, the stories and writers are clearly not carbon copies of one another. Each author's voice puts forth something unique and interesting. Actually, trying to solve the puzzle of matching authors and stories is a terrific tool for learning more about writing skills, techniques and effects.

As for a ficlet. Hmmmm. Ever since coolbreeze1's post about Caldwell, (Here) I've had a notion to read a scene between Sheppard and Caldwell - something gen - and while they are not exactly buddies I'd like to see a scene that captures a little of the positive aspects of that relationship. Of course, I am asking for that because I can't think of a possible scenario myself at the ( ... )

I'd be really interested in hearing more about how you matched people to stories -- I'm now kind of insanely curious about what my narrative tells are.

You have my fic credited to the wrong LJ account. Unfortunately, someone already had liketheriver when I joined LJ, so I had to go with liketheriverrun. Also, the title is Plowshare without an "s". Thanks! And thanks for running another great genficathon!
