This is AWESOME! So very much love for everything about this story, you have no idea. I'm impressed and awed and most importantly of all - grinning hugely. This is such a perfect story - the pacing of it, the way it all develops from a simple misunderstanding. Nobody is being evil, Teyla was doing fine, and yet there is a lovely tension to the jail scene, and even more to the chase, since our guys are so clearly in the wrong here.
Fantastic characterizations - it made me happier than I can say to read about Teyla and Ronon having adventures together, and in this perfect tone. The revelation that Ronon had a twin sister - yep, that explains a lot. This captures everything I love about the two characters, and how they are together. Fighting about who gets to execute the most dangerous part of the plan made me squee, because it's totally them! (And Ronon is sneaky enough to have a fire-water-wood secret strategy, eee! Which wouldn't have worked unless Teyla had been smart enough to pay attention all the previous times they ( ... )

Thank you SO much -- my original idea was to do a "John and Rodney" type adventure with Teyla and Ronon, because I'd realized through a discussion I was having somewhere else (I can't even remember where, now) that one of the main things that draws me to writing them as much as I do is that I love writing the banter and putting them in silly or bizarre situations. And I really wanted to see if the same sort of thing would work with Teyla and Ronon, because they're *well* overdue for a dorky adventure of their own. I love their brother-sister vibe and wanted to bring that out, and I also loved the role reversal that this time it's *Teyla* who gets in trouble!
Thank you for the comment. ^_^

I certainly did not know that 'good fortune' is a local euphemism for death.
Oh, Pegasus, you crazy thing. I can so see that happening.
And this exchange: "Thank you for freeing me from the Matawnee." ... "I suggest that you take the legal option." -- so adorable! And yay, the ending. Many lols :-)

"My hatred of you keeps me warm," Teyla said conversationally
this is perfect and priceless. They both sound so much like themselves, and you've caught Teyla's mixture of calm and annoyance just perfectly. Wonderful!
