Aw, this was lovely and sweet (despite being rather brutal at times). I love how you slowly revealed more and more about John. And your Rodney was wonderful.

This was lovely. Great Sheppard whump and a lovely look at him through Rodney's eyes.. a really great depiction of their friendship and you captured both the characters really well.. and their banter too, especially towards the end. I liked Rodney's (very natural) curiosity about Sheppard's family, given what Ronon's visit in Outcast had revealed, combined with his reluctance to push or to take advantage of Sheppard's situation.

Thanks. I was a little worried that Rodney might come across as too pushy, especially given the circumstances. But I just felt it so him to delve deeper into John's past now that he knows more, no matter the situation.

Aww, just lovely. Our boys leaning on each other, Rodney trying to keep John focused on things other than their captivity, John thoroughly whumped and still growling at people who threaten McKay, and of course the end, where they're both safe and sound, and John still decides to open up. Just, "awww"!

"John thoroughly whumped and still growling at people who threaten McKay"

That's what I love about John. He defends no matter what.

Nicely done, bringing out John's past through the present struggles. And I just love the ending. Much enjoyed, thanks.
