Hee, yes - most of this came from the hour-long discussion I shared with gnine regarding DH's many fine, fine traits.

"Yes, yes," Rodney replies, sarcastic, though he bounces a bit on his toes, "I know, you only love me for my brain."

"Right," John says.

The ending is poignant and intense with all the unsaid amusement, hunger and longing John manages with one word, because though Rodney is oblivious, the reader isn't, and wow. This was such wonderful, restrained, beautiful storytelling. ♥

This is great. I love fic where John's the one pining for Rodney, you know, sort of quietly, and you capture so much beauty in Rodney here. He's all about the motion, really - he looks best in motion; it's the source of so much of his charm, and all these things are alive with motion.

Oh, man, I am all about the pining!John...really, after s4, hard not to see it as canon. And yes, Rodney's appeal is so much in his energy - he never looks as gorgeous as he truly is in still shots (apparently a DH trait, because everyone I know who's met him in person goes on about how pictures do not do him justice...)

Ohhhhhhh! Nice, very, very nice. I love the Ronon smacking Rodney's nicely round rear, *sighs dreamily* and the ending was perfect, just perfect. Thank you for sharing.
