Blood was the first thing he saw when he reached McKay, blood running down his face, streaming past his disturbingly slack mouth.
Later, after stitches and recriminations, after he shoved McKay against a wall and made him swear to just fucking listen next time, he closed his eyes against the rusty stain on McKay's shirt and concentrated on the brush of fingers against his cock. There was nothing but feeling, throbbing so hard that it hurt, so hard that he thrust into McKay's hand and moaned, so hard that his world narrowed to the pulse of blood under his skin.
