*g* I love the cross over. It's an interesting fit, using the Ori plague with the Stand. It somehow fits though. Very cool.

Er. It's very explicitly *not* the Ori plague. But I'm glad you enjoyed it anyway :).

And this is why I should pay attention when I type. *g* I meant to say that with the ori's having a plague, it would make sense for that to translate into the Stand's plague. Anyway, I love the Stand, so it's awesome to see this cross over. And it would be so cool if you continue.

I kind of like the idea that after all the threats of the Ori's plagues, it's their own undoing that causes the plague that kills them off.

I'm demented that way.

Argh, let me rephrase for clarity: If one's story is going to be humans vs themselves, the plague should be human-created. If it's going to involve either going "out there" to find a cure, or involve "out there" coming "here", then it probably should be either alien-created, or just something accidentally stumbled upon "out there". --Unless of course the story is about people "out there" taking advantage of human misfortune, in which case it must be a product of Earth.

Man, I don't believe this. The above block is supposed to be below the below block. My mouse must be out of alignment, as I did click the right link.

Actually I found the (Ori) alien plague refreshing. The plagues in all the memorable books and shows and movies (Terry Nation's "Survivors" series, John Windham's "Day of the Triffids"...) are always caused by humans. If the story is about humans vs themselves, that makes perfect literary sense. But in science fiction series (e.g. Babylon 5 Crusade) it makes more sense to have the disease come from "out there", because either the characters will look for a treatment out there, or because it's the prelude to an invasion or some other kind of exploitation.
