Thank you! I'm glad you liked the plot and the characters, and I'm relieved that you liked the ending, since I myself am not fond of overly sentimental fics, and yet I somehow found myself writing a 14k story with kids! And talking about courage and hope, of all things-- but I am glad you enjoyed it, so hopefully I wasn't unbearably sappy.

I completely get what you're saying about Ana; the funny thing is, the way this fic started was I had this scene in my head where Rodney and the rest of the team have to harvest radishes with these local kids making fun of him, and one of the kids turns out to be a math genius, and so suddenly I found myself writing the story that led up to that scene-- I didn't even plan for the fic to center around Teyla. Of course, by the time I finished, I found that Ana turning out to be a genius didn't seem as natural and organic to the rest of the narrative, but at the same time I didn't see how I could leave Ana hanging, since whatever changes Radim's trying to make probably aren't going to kick in in time to save Ana.

Um, right, sorry about rambling; anyways, thank you again for reading, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
