Crap. Brilliant, painful, punch-to-the-gut ... the thing that shone through them all and hooked me but good was the solidarity between everyone. Quiet but so emphatically THERE for one another. Wow.

Oh, but Ronon-the-Hulk almost had me peeing my pants *giggles*

As always with your fic, a lovely and fantastic job. I love how they are all there for one another, even if it's just quietly by the other's side, doing something proactive or telling them like it is. I really liked visit the sick and bury the dead. Thank you for sharing this. Take care!

To start it that way... it makes the funny parts somehow broken, like you're following a smile but you know the eyes are saying something else. The contrasts with Rodney are just as affecting as John's progression. Good work.

I was going to put the category as angst/humour but then looked at it and thought... now that's confusing... but that's what it is...

I like blending the funny with the tragic... it's such a great vehicle.

There were all wonderful but this last one rang so true to me. I can so easily see that one happening and said "That's my team!" because even scared shitless Rodney wouldn't complain about going, and Teyla and Ronon would completely understand the need.

I know the "never leave anyone behind" thing was mentioned time and time again in SG1, but is it mentioned in SGA much? Just wondering, I was a little sketchy on my season 1 viewings.

It hasn't been very much... I think they have made reference to it... but I was more going for the weariness of having to leave people behind rather than the expectation that they don't...

I think it's a military thing though so should carry over... Although don't quote me!

this was a beautiful and poignant interpretation of the challenge. It really goes above and beyond, totally in character and very moving.
