Awwww, what a great detail to choose! I adored that line and could definitely see this sort of thing being the reason why Rodney would say something like that. I can see him being the type of kid who if he wasn't good, then he wasn't interested. Thanks so much for contributing to the commmunity!
Thanks for letting me play in your comm (cool idea, BTW). That was a great line in the ep, and I still giggle at the idea of Rodney even trying to play (had to be scarring though if he's still talking about it). As for not interested if he can't do it well - that's my own philosophy. I can only imagine how magnified it would be for McKay. Thanks for reading!
Oh, poor Rodney. I loved this flashback into Rodney's childhood, even if it makes me a little sad on his behalf. Nice insert of the grandmother and her remark about Jeannie just wanting him to notice her.
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled you enjoyed it. I just can't imagine Rodney with a cheery childhood, but I think he might have had a few happy moments. I think Jeannie idolized Rodney when they were children, but the years changed them both.
awwww poor Rodney. But it's very true to character, and it's definitely not a stretch of the imagination to see something like this happening to him as a child. great job ^_^
I love his relationship with his Grandmother. Very sweet.
