Lovely!!! I hadn't thought of the comparison with McKay, but that's a good point. Thank you for this!

It's funny, that comparison hit me while I was watching the ep. I was thinking what is it with Kolya taking knives to people's arms. *G* And this fic gave me a chance to use it. Thanks so much!

Oh, thank you. I needed that, too. I'm so glad Rodney can be there to help John through his own messed-up psyche.

Thank you so very much! I've been reading various posts about this ep on LJ since it aired and it seems there are those who are squeeing madly and those who are hugely disappointed. It seems to be divided into the camps of those who love the hurt and those of us who love the comfort more. This fic is for all of us who desperately missed the hurt in this ep.

Oooooh this is brilliant, absolutely brilliant! If the episode had even had a fraction of this at the end, it would've been so much better. Thank you, thank you thank you!!! I LOVED this!

Thanks! You know, this was harder than I had thought it would be once I got into it because as much as I wanted John to have a heart to heart with his team, I just knew he would never do that. So I was in this constant battle to balance John (and Ronon and Rodney) between showing enough emotion to fix things (or at least make them some better) and keeping them all their emotional stunted selves. *G* So I'm hoping it worked okay for you in that respect.

Mmmmmmm. Yes. Nice fix. Love the craps analogy, and how his moment with Ronon helped him start healing in a physical way, meditating with Teyla helped him to heal mentally, and being with Rodney helped him with his, well, heart and soul. Absolutely wonderful. =^.^=

Thanks so much! I just love it when a reader actually gets what I'm going for. *G* Gold star for negolith for picking up that it took the entire team to play their individual parts in the healing process!

Eeep! I, I, I got a gold star from liketheriver! Woo hoo! But hey, I iz a writer, 2. ;)

Your welcome! =^.^= I caught it right away, and I loved how John was his usual self about it - he wanted the help, but wouldn't in a million years admit it, but kinda went along grudgingly and grumpily, but did stick to it.

I wrote a piece recently called "In The Quiet Hours" which deals with each of the team in the middle of the night during the hours when they can't sleep. I would be greatly honored if you checked it out sometime. grovel grovel

Oh yes, I liked this. Kind of glossed over all that had happened to poor Shep, didn't they? Thanks for the fix.

Thank you! Yeah, that was my biggest gripe about this ep... beat the crap out of John and then don't even mention it again and pretend it never happened.
