Fic: Reperti (Chapter 9)
Title: Reperti (09/??)

Word Count: ~3400
Warnings: This story features minor spoilers to Stargate Atlantis novels and is post series, slightly AU as it features Daniel Jackson as Atlantis' new leader (as hinted as a possibility in Book 1 of the Legacy series). There is little to no Jennifer Keller (I personally don't care for the character so there will be a lot more Carson. This is no means a slight to those who do like her. Just my personal opinion.)
Summary: Atlantis returns to the PG and new discoveries and some unexpected surprises await. Sometimes what one needs really isn't that far away from home as one thinks.
Author Note: Special thanks to mysra for her wonderful beta work and cheerleading in helping me when I hit a wall. I apologize for the long absence. I have been experiencing computer problems and they are still ongoing, although I presently have a temporary fix on mine as the end result still comes down to having to purchase a new hard drive before this one finally gets put to rest. I am however back in at least a part time capacity in writing and getting back into the swing to continue my current WIPs. This chapter has been completed for some time now. It also isn't as long as one may like considering my time away, but is of average length for myself and I am working on the next chapter. Regardless of having some computer access again is wonderful, I still am limited on the free time that I have to be able to write without falling asleep during so as I am attempting to get as many hours in at work as possible so that I can get funds together for my upcoming trip to Europe to go to the Chevron 8.1 convention in London.
Challenge: Dipping in for writerverse's challenge #18, Inspirational Quotes, choosing "The best thing to hold onto in life is each other." - Audrey Hepburn, and I do believe that some aspects could be applied to "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." - Robert Frost.
