Category of the fics you'd beta: I'll beta just about anything. I do like slash, both slash and femmeslash, but I will beta het.
Category of the fics you won't beta: Fics that contain elements of squick are borderline, as are crossovers with anything but SG-1, but again, I'll beta just about anything
Pairing of the fics you'd beta (if applicable): McShep is nice, but I'm not too picky.

Type of beta you'd do: Characterization isn't really my thing, but I'm happy to mention things when I notice them. Otherwise, I do have a rather firm grasp on the grammar, spelling, etc. of the English language and would be delighted to share my 'expertise.'
Length of the fics you'd beta: Any length is fine, but if it is an extremely long fic, then I would prefer if it were in chapters, or in the size that it will be posted in.
Guten Tag, fan fiction authors and betas of the Stargate Atlantis fandom! I'm Zar, at your beck and call. I just thought I'd introduce myself in hopes of finding an author in need of a beta. I haven't written any fic, myself, but I may try, eventually. Until then, I'm simply here to beta. I'm online quite a lot, so my services are readily available. I have beta'd in the Pirates fandom, as well.
Just a little bit about my personality: I suppose you could liken me to our dear Chief Scientist. I'm often described as too smart for my own good, but I like to respond to that by saying that I'm not overly smart, just intelligent, because intelligence is how well you learn, as opposed to smartness being what you have learned. I snark, and I do tend to drive people away, especially if they're marginally less intelligent than myself, but if you can hold up and defend yourself against the barbs, then you may find yourself benefiting from the massive encyclopedia of random knowledge that I've acquired.
