I agree with everyone who posted. If you're going to call yourself sg_prompts you deal with everything that is part of Stargate and has the same crew of people and even old actors making cameos. You feature the comic characters, the original trilogy of book characters as well as the original movie characters.
You're not really a Stargate fan if you don't. And for those voting for "Wait and see if there is any interest first" option are people who really don't want to watch the new series, was in love with SGA so much that they're angry that they canceled it, or they just don't want to go further in the ever evolving world.
If you're a fan of Stargate, even if you hate the series, you have to acknowledge it. I hated Stargate: Atlantis yet I acknowledge it as canon. Just like, when the MMO is released, everything that they do with our favorite characters in that game will be canon.
The poll should have never been created. If this community is going to be called just Stargate Prompts, you include everything that the producers and creators of the series that you claim to love so much as such.
I'm sorry, I must have missed that in the official manual of "How to be a Stargate fan". Oh wait. There isn't one. :D

::shrugs:: That's entirely up to the moderator. I think it was nice that she opened the floor to discussion to see what the members here would be interested in.
Not every Stargate-oriented community covers every Stargate show. For example, there are archives that accept only SG-1 fic, others that accept only SGA. There are some that will not take stories set in Season 6 of SG-1. Some won't take slash under any circumstances.
Sometimes those decisions are done solely at the discretion of the mods, sometimes the community is polled first. I like that the fact that this moderator took the time and effort to poll the community for a consensus instead of unilaterally instituting a policy.
This poll was created as it was promised to the members back when the first rumors of SGU got started. If there is/was no interest, there would no need to change the community rules to include it. We currently do not include Stargate: Infinity, and there has been no interest in including that to date.
As a mod though, I do need to request that you refrain from assuming the reasoning behind members' opinions on this and other issues as it may come across as insulting, whether or not that was your original intent. The first and primary ground rule of the community, as listed in the community rules, is respect. Others may not have the same option as you, but they are still entitled to that opinion.
