One of the restaurants under Les Amis.
Been to the Bistro du Vin next door (& I liked it).
Menu~
Expect most mains to be in the range of $30s.
Everyone was gushing over the carbs!
Though they totally refrained from eating much, scared fat. Ha
Our lil' appetizer/salad to share - Insalata Caprese
Fresh tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella & extra virgin olive oil.
Just nice for each (5 of us) to have a serving, and one extra.
Yes, guess who the extra went to. LOL
Chittara alla Carbonara
Hand-cut chittara pasta, crispy parma ham, parmigiano, truffle butter, pancetta sauce & confit of egg.
I should have totally ordered this!!
I thought against pastas for that meal since I was wearing a fancy, white shirt & didn't want to dirty it.
Who knew their carbonara was un-creamy & even had an egg in the middle?!
The boss totally cheated & had a mega-salad for his main course.
Tomatoes & cheese, 2 servings of Parma ham and Wagyu beef (I think).
Can't find the details in the online menu, so I'll try my best.
Grilled Salmon (I think I am quite certain about this) with tiny tomatoes & greens.
And this is the King Fish.
It certainly doesn't come with a crown, but it was simple enough to eat.
The tomatoes are a blast to eat, though I keep imagining them splurting all over my white shirt. Ha
It's nice that the restaurant staff actually helped them do the whole chocolate words .
There was even a candle & all!
Overall, a very satisfying meal.
Not exactly the most value for money (though they have a lunch set offer)
but I feel that it's still reasonably priced.
Next time I visit, I'm definitely sticking to the pastas!
Bill for the 5 of us probably came up to $200.
