I just posted my 50th fic to AO3, starting from back in 2007 with my very first SG-1 story and going forwards, one fic a day (more or less) at a time. I'm only halfway through 2009 now. Good grief, I used to be prolific

I do like the kudo system, yes, folk who would not leave a comment normally are more happy to send a tick :) Wait till the day (and it will come if it hasn't already) when you get a whole heap of kudos from one person (or from what's clearly one guess) and can happily imagine someone enjoying themselves enough to browse right through your list... that's always a buzz :)
Congrats on your milestone and your continued output. And thanks for continuing to cheer unstintingly for the fandom as a whole. I'm sure if it weren't for you keeping people enthused about reccing, there would be *nobody* left in LJ and I definitely still wouldn't be reading SG-fic.
LJ was my original SG-1 home and I have no intention of leaving, but the fandom definitely seems to be migrating away. :( I'll be around to put the chairs up on the tables if I have to, though.
DW had very sporadic gen SG-1 fannishness going on, but it does seem to be picking up a bit now, with so many people leaving LJ after the new TOS. (Although as has been pointed out to me, it's not any worse than the Facebook TOS et al, so...)
I usually only leave kudos when I don't have a specific comment beyond "I liked it" or "Thanks for sharing," so I really like kudos and figure I get a lot more feedback than I would if they didn't have that feature! Of course, maybe that's just me.
I too love seeing someone going from one fic to another and giving kudos on more than one.
Oh, you definitely get more feedback with kudos than you might otherwise. I do think there's a tradeoff, though, in some people who might have left comments and just do the kudos thing instead.
OTOH, even knowing how many hits you get is also a feedback of sorts. There's always a much larger percentage of people reading, and even liking, your story than those that bother to let you know. So the ratio of feedback to kudos is also very telling!
I don't suppose we can coax you back into writing yourself, can we? :)
I don't suppose we can coax you back into writing yourself, can we? :) Maybe at some point in the future? I'm really on the fringes of fandom now, with a lot of other things taking up my time and energy.
