Kidfic Alphabet Soup signups
Who's up for another round of SG-1 Alphabet Soup? :)
This will be our 22nd round, and the theme, by popular vote, is Kidfic. The following types of stories qualify:
* "downsizing" fic, in which one or more characters are technologically hand-waved into children (temporarily or permanently, with or without their adult memories)
* stories set pre-series, featuring any SG-1 character during a time when they were actually, y'know, kids
* stories featuring children within the SG-1 universe; these can be canonical [Cassie, Loran, Ry'ac, Charlie (the original), Charlie (the Reetou), Shifu, or even young!Adria] or original
The following types of fic DO NOT qualify:
* next-gen featuring the children of any major character that is not canon. A story featuring an adult Cassie training Janet Wells as a member of a new SG-1 team would be fine, but stories featuring Sam and Jack's (or Vala and Daniel's) children are not.
What about alternative timelines or AU fic, in which a character was always a child to begin with? I'm willing to consider those, but the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis, and I get to be arbitrary about it. :) So please discuss it with me before you start writing!
Your story may include any character and any era (pre-series, post-series, early season, late season, whatever), as long as it's gen, related to SG-1, and fits our theme. We've had somewhere along the lines of 140 different authors contributing over the years, but whether you're a dedicated regular, an occasional dabbler, or a brand new chef, your participation is more than welcome!
This is how it works: comment below to sign up. By commenting, you are committing yourself to writing at least 100 words of gen kidfic by November 28th. In the past, signing up included claiming a letter of the alphabet; this time, I will PM you with a randomly assigned letter.
On November 28th, comment with a link to your fic in the SG-1 Gen Fic Day post, using the title as the subject of your comment (A is for Adria, D is for Developments, W is for What Just Happened, or whatever). Send me a copy by e-mail and your TOC template as well, as soon as they're ready. When all the letters have been submitted, a master post for the anthology will be posted, complete with the detailed table of contents.

This is part of SG-1 Gen Fic Day, after all. :) You may write about any character, including original ones, that fit these criteria. You may mention canon ships - for example, Teal'c/Drey'auc or Jack/Sara - but no romance, please, and no sneaking in references to your favorite non-canon ship. If in doubt, feel free to ask.
