This almost hurts too much to read-as it should. I don't know how Jack could get through it all.

This was such a hurty ep from every side, wasn't it? Makes me hate Maybourne that much more, for putting them through it.

Wow. I'm not even sure I have words to say how much I love this. You did such a good job showing the conflict between special ops Jack and team Jack, and his distaste for calling that part of himself back up.

I love this line: He slumped over the chessboard, playing white and black against each other and deliberating sabotaging both.

Thank you for picking that line - it's my personal favorite. :)

Many of us focus on how the team got hurt in this one, and yes, they did, but Jack was hurting too. These few moments before Daniel tried to talk to him were the ones that showed it the most, I think.
