For zats_clear, who gave me an icon prompt too long ago to think about and is getting this bizarre meandering through Daniel's brain.

Summary: Daniel idly speculates on Ancient influence on the human psyche. Very vague references to events through much of the show, but no real spoilers. 520 words. Rated G.

I was reading along thing, "Yeah, yeah, that makes a lot of sense-could be right. . . ." and finally realized I'd completely forgotten that Stargate is fiction and it's really that the writers and set designers already know about telephones and not the other way around.

::sporfles:: I don't know if the set designers specifically had touch-tone keypads in mind when they upgraded to their new shiny, but it definitely worked for me! :)
