No, not dead. We last see him in the S1 cliffhanger and then he's never mentioned again. I've always imagined he got transferred somewhere, but I liked Ferretti so I used him here. So there. :)

Impassioned speeches are fun! I'll have to try it more often.

Very nice. I like Sam's calm under pressure - thinking everything through, and Sha're's speech at the end is just fab. :)

Thank you so much! I wanted to contrast Sam the soldier with Sha're the civilian here - even if Sha're isn't exactly your run-of-the-mill civilian. ;) Glad you liked it!

Fantastic as always. Loved the dynamic between the two women and loved Sha're's speech at the end.
