Oh, this hurts. At least you offer some consolation, in that after his second Ascension things are better, and he gets to hug (an alternate) Janet goodbye. But oh, that first year after his first Ascension is just heartbreaking, and I wish he could have shared the pain with someone.

There are so many twisty things about Ascension and what it does to the mind. And lots of twisty things about the way our minds normally work, too. This just... felt right. Not nec'ly happy, though!

I'm glad this worked for you, even if it did hurt. Poor Daniel, sigh.

My heart aches! This is too good, and just reminds me of why it's just so wrong that Janet is gone. :( Still, sometimes when you stop and think about it, what an insanely large number of event that occurred to Daniel (and everyone else, while we're at it) in just a few short years. Despite the obvious sadness, I like you how you still find the way to insert a few funny moments... "he forgot that he wasn't really out of phase and couldn't just wander through the closest wall" Hehe whoops!

Yes, we ALL miss Janet, don't we?

SG-1 has indeed gone through insanely large numbers of strange events. I do like to think that Daniel uses humor to get through it sometimes, even if that humor is black. :) Thanks!

...but black humour is the best... isn't it?

When it comes to multiple deaths, yes, I think so. :)

This is lovely, even as it hurts. Great use of that quote!

Thank you! It can't help but hurt, I think.

Painful. It's time travel... but not. Resolution... but not. Very clever!

::nods: "But not" describes a lot of Daniel's life, I'd say. Thanks!
