A is for Aspect

Written for Gen Fic Day for Vala Alphabet Soup. The Goa'uld might be snaky symbiotes, but it's the hosts' faces that Vala has always hated. 912 words. Includes spoilers through Continuum. Rated PG.

Thank you, Random, for your usual stellar beta.

Nice.

THis has always struck me as the most interesting part of Vala's character and I think you nicely bring us an idea of Vala's time as a host and how difficult her reintegration would have been.

Nice fic :)

Thank you! I, too, wished we'd learned more of Vala's time as a host and her recovery - such a powerful backstory, and utterly ignored.

Wow. Such an eloquent look at Vala. Just yes. This feels very true to me.

Oh how insightful. Vala wouldhate the host first and then be led by Daniel's story to reexamin her attitude.

Now just imagine when she meets Sarah Gardener... Oooh. Must go link to that fic. :)

Thanks, and glad you liked it!

Wow, it makes such wonderful sense that Vala would consider other hosts in this manner. The face of evil is only a mask that covers real the real horror. Beautifully written as always.

Thank you! We saw Daniel do it in Serpent's Song, but he had the proof of the host's humanity right in front of him. For Vala, it would've been that much harder. Glad you liked it. :)

I think this makes a much better ending to Continuum than the way it was played. On screen Daniel read as a little too snarky in that comment than he should have been methinks.

Heh, yes - I was annoyed by Daniel's flippancy there and it was a pleasure to spin it just a little little. :) Thanks!
