Yurp. I've suddenly become a SSin addict. Shame is though, there aren't many fics out there dealing with this particular pairing. And GUH(!) I wanna write one!!!
Only problem is: I'm still on book 4 -- being about five pages from the end since... er... last summer... *looks appropriately sheepish* What can I say? I'm not particularly fond of JKR's writing style -- the idea is great and the older charcaters are fab, but I much prefer fanfics (the decent sort, along the lines of inell and minisinoo) to the books.
But I should read 'em before attempting my own fic. There's only so much info one can glean from fans' works (unfortunately).
And just so you know, I've absolutely no idea what happens in either book 6 or 7.
That wasn't an invitation for spoilers, btw. I'll be buying 'em cheap once the present wave of Potter-mania recedes.
In other news, I'm presently working for our local Ty Hafan (Cardiff-based charity; children's hospice). My boss and her husband are insane, and the new deputy manager is equally cooky. Never a dull moment. Seriously. One never knows when Elaine will burst into song or speak with a German accent...
