If This Was On TV, I Wouldn't Believe It....
The Commander of the largest Air Force Base in Canada, 46 year old Colonel Russell Williams has been arrested and charged with 2 murders, and two sexual assults. He was appointed to the position last summer--all these crimes took place between sept. and jan.
OMG.
There are only 86 colonels in the Air Force. These guys are thouroughly vetted and don't get appointed unless there's no whiff of impropriety. This is just...wow.
The unit that was responsible for his arrest was a specialized OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) unit that's kind of like the guys on Criminal Minds. They use a combination of criminal-profiling, polygraphing, forensic psychiatry, threat assessment, and research.
