"I did not say it was unpleasant," Teal'c said, and Jack thought he detected a very, very small smile.

Oh! Oh, I love this so much! Early season 1, and the Alien-aliens, and Jack's all gleeful that he gets to make first contact, and the MOLE-People! (are you a Tick fan?) And poor Teal'c but then he gets to negotiate, and oh, so much fun!

More quotes and squeeing later, but thank you so much! I love it!

Yay! I'm so, so glad you liked it. I am a Tick fan but I haven't seen it in years and years, so I didn't make the connection until now. I've been wanting to write a newbie!SG-1 story for a while, and you gave me the excuse, so thanks for that, too. And, you know, I got to write them all being excited dorks. It was fun. Hard (mainly because I tried to do it first from Teal'c's POV and went down in flames) but fun.

And I put in the zombie reference and the climbing just for you. :)

Thank you!

Mwah!

Climbing! Sam at the gym twice a week! And poor Daniel, going, "um, no."

This really is marvelous, and I think you should send a proposal to Fandemonium and make a lot of money for doing this! (Or, um, some money, anyway...)

It's really very awesome. Yay fic! For me!

I love wee!young!SG-1 SO MUCH. This is fabulous. You just know Jack didn't get in trouble this much back in the old days...

Dude, the Sandinistas were NOTHING compared to the ultrasonic moles.

And aren't they (wee!SG-1, not the Sandinistas) just the cutest thing ever? I had a hard time channeling them for a while, but then they took over and the bugs showed up and all was well.

Anyway, thank you for liking it. :)

OMG, this was a fantastic first contact. I love the respect and the physiological differences. I love the advanced mole people being curious but flat out refusing to let them return. I love the complexity of the stories that were told.

I also really, really love Teal'c in this. I really love Teal'c. Also really love the hearding cats references. *glee*

*loves*

Thank you so much! I don't think I've ever written a straight-out episode before so I'm extremely relieved that it worked. And yeah, I wanted to have the two sides respectful and curious at the same time. I had a horrible fear that the moles would turn out to be ewoks. Eeek!

I'm so happy you liked it. Thanks.

I think I'm in love. With you, with the story, with Teal'c in the story. OMG, you actually gave Teal'c stuff to DO in the story!!! You rock and it was beautiful and had cat-herding and Teal'c being all taciturn but still having actually lines and stuff rather than just being that big guy that everyone remembers to mention occasionally as still being there, really, even if he's not doing anything!!

You win the coveted splody heart of fic-love!

You know, I didn't even realize I was writing Teal'c in an unusual way. I just ... wrote Teal'c. But I see what you mean now. He's definitely not window dressing. :) I wanted the story to be balanced between each of the four, still learning how to work together and what to expect of each other.

Thanks for the sweet fb and the splody heart. :) I'm glad you like it!
