Veronica Mars on Australian TV
Okay, I'M CONFUSED!!
No, this isn't something out of the ordinary but just what is the go with Veronica Mars being aired out here? All 3 of the major free-to-air networks have been bandied around, but the latest I'd heard (last week, I believe) was that Ch 7 had rights.
Then Mark posts this on the Aussie-Farscape list (about possibly getting FS on ABC):
The Crikey.com.au website is reporting that Channel 9 is on selling the broadcast rights to a number of TV shows that it can't (or won't) fit into its schedule. Shows that have been bought by Channel 10 are four series - Smallville, Supernatural, Reunion and Veronica Mars.. Last year they also bought The OC and One Tree Hill.
The ABC have picked up one show, The West Wing, which the Ten Network had declined because it didn't fit its audience profile. The ABC plans to run the entire series of TWW from Ep 1.
Soooo... Ch 9 actually had rights but now Ch 10 have them???
What's going on???? skeeta, have you heard anything for sure??
ETA: Never mind. I just went back and read an older entry I'd made that linked to a comm. Ten DO have rights, apparently. Nov 28 is the (so far) scheduled airdate.
