Some recs, Firefly & Veronica Mars.
First, try anything by words_in_flight. HawkMoth writes the most beautiful stuff, and lucky for me, a lot of it has a Mal/Inara slant! :D Not ALL her stuff is M/I though - there are some other brilliant pieces that are genfic. As for recs:
+ Something New - post-Serenity fic. So I'd advise not reading if you haven't seen the BDM yet! And it's definitely M/I. *loves*
+ Lessons & There is a Season - now considered AU (considering events in the BDM). And beautifully heartwrenching. Go read. Really. This is probably one of my Top 5 Firefly fics. Genfic.
Now, Veronica Mars. Welp. When I first started looking a month or so ago, I came up mostly empty. But there are a few out there which are soooooo worth reading.
From what I've heard theohara should be read. All of it. However, the one I REALLY want to rec...
+ Broken Toys. AU and WOW. Seriously... WOW. It's won all sorts of awards in the VM AU Fiction Awards and daaaayum can I see why. Because dude. Did I mention WOW?
+ Virtual Season 2. Also theohara's and I haven't read them (yet) but dangermousie mentioned they were good and she's recc'ed all good stuff before so I'm trusting her judgement. Plus, if the Virtual Season 2 is anywhere near as good as Broken Toys then I'm in.
Also, another author to rec - sexycereal. sexycereal fic = ultimate goodness. In particular, my favourite so far.
+ I've Got a Dark Alley and a Bad Idea - Veronica/Logan, NC-17 and OMGgoooooooooood.
I really need to sit down and read LOTS of sexycereal's stuff because it looks GOOD.

Nathan in Entertainment Weekly. It's the issue with Orlando & Kirsten on the cover and I would LOVE a copy if only for that gorram BEAUTIFUL picture of Nathan inside. GUH. God the man is delicious. That needs iconning. Hee. Plus he's hilarious - I love the closing comment about James Bond. LMAO!!
Need to go and think about Serenity review now that I've seen it twice. Decided not to do the third showing this afternoon as I have other stuff I'm itching to do. :)
